Be Moved ... Ballet Kelowna
2009/2010 Season promises to be an amazing year of performances, showcasing our own 'inno-classical" style of classic and innovative, modern ballets.
Classic Contrast in the Fall feautres a new commissioned ballet from Paul Destrooper, Artistic Director Ballet Victoria, and our first ever musical commission "In Arden Woods" composed by pianist Arnold Draper and choreographed by our own David LaHay.
Feel the artistic tension, drive and excitement of our Spring 2010 Season. Influential and ground breaking ballets that helped shape dance in Canada are featured along with formative ballets commissioned by Ballet Kelowna or created by our own Artistic Director David LaHay. Featured will be Brian Macdonald's "Double Quartet, Kay Armstrong's "Etude", Nesta Toumine's "Gymnopedies" and Joe Laughlin's "Butterfly Affect".
Ballet Kelowna will be touring to 16 communities in BC and Alberta this spring before presenting the final Season performances at Kelowna Community Theatre April 30 & May 1, 2010.
