Artistic Director and CEO of Ballet Kelowna Simone Orlando is pleased to present the tenth annual OSDI program under her direction. Ballet Kelowna’s OSDI offers dance students the opportunity to learn from professional dancers and choreographers. Participants will experience a range of movement training and will learn signature works from Ballet Kelowna’s repertoire.

Students will train in classical ballet, pointe, and contemporary and also learn Ballet Kelowna Repertoire. Additionally, senior students will participate in a Choreographic Lab.

Ballet Kelowna is committed to providing an exceptional summer dance experience under the direction and guidance of teachers who challenge each student to achieve their highest technical and artistic capability.

OSDI 2025 will take place at Ballet Kelowna’s studio at 2283 Leckie Road in Kelowna. Ballet Kelowna will take all safety protocols into account to ensure our students’ care is our first priority. We will offer a one-week Junior Intensive for intermediate-level students and a one-week Senior Intensive for advanced-level students. More classes may be offered, should there be a demand.

Junior Intensive

One Week:
Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 1 (9:00am-2:45pm).
For intermediate-level students (12 years +)
Intermediate Foundation/Intermediate RAD Level (or equivalent)

Cost for one week $595 + GST

Senior Intensive

One Week:
Monday, August 4 to Friday, August 8 (9:00am-4:30pm). 
For advanced level students (14 years +).
Advanced Foundation/Advanced I RAD Level or higher

Cost for one week $795 + GST

The Gwenneth Lloyd & Betty Farrally Endowment Fund Award

There are awards available for OSDI 2025 through the Farrally/Lloyd Endowment Fund administered through the Central Okanagan Foundation. The Farrally/Lloyd Fund was established to support dance students (currently attending a ballet school in School District 23 Central Okanagan) to continue their training in the summer months.
